ARTHRITIS

Arthritis patients often have bone-on-bone compression in their joint spaces, causing terrible pain and range of motion loss.

Watrous PT's treatment plan for arthritis involves therapeutic exercises to strengthen muscles surrounding the joints, and pain-relieving techniques to reduce habitual patterns and down-regulate muscular hypersensitivity.  The Trager Approach increases the repertoire of patients' movement.  Patients learn how to move with less effort.  Trager mobilizes joints by increasing accessory movement within those joints.  In concert with Trager, Craniosacral Therapy gently decreases compression and increases mobility in the spine and throughout the body.

As always, each patient is evaluated and given treatment appropriate to individual needs.
